Hi, both,

 

Before raising funds for the non-profit haemodialysis (HD) centre, Power of Love has nevered received any financial support from government.  We raise funds via Charity Street Sale, Mooncake Sale, talks, direct donations from friends and banquets, etc.

 

And, we haven't received the grant from government  yet for the HD centre.

 

Although, government has, in principle, agreed to "Grant' us the $1M for the HD centre, we still have to apply to meet all its requirements for the grant.

 

And even if they approve the grant later, the government does not give us the $1.23M in one shot.  We can only claim the amount by reimbursement.  That is, we purchase one piece of HD equipment worths $150,000 and then we need to submit application to government to request for reimbursement of $150,000.  (The government regulations are very strict, we need to fill out over 100 pages of documents before we can get the reimbursement).

 

And then, later if we purchase another HD equipment, we need to make application to government again for reimbursement.....and so on.

多謝你的提問，請了解以下ivy的回覆。

 

據我昔日了解，愛心力量的慈善活動是在國內及國外的，沒有在港助學建校，因此該活動未有申請香港政府的支助。

 

經我再一次跟 IVY 了解，香港的洗腎中心原來只是政府同意支助，批了額度，另外需要申請。 因此，愛心力量便需要流水作業式的募捐。 如果政府見愛心力量在申請前，已積極募集善款，批出額度的機會便大增。 同時，愛心力量不募集捐款，政府亦會批出約123萬，只是審批難免增加障礙。

 

 因此，在社會上籌得更多，應可盡快政府的額度，建設更完善的洗腎中心。

 

如果未能籌集足夠，愛心力量亦希望先由更細規模的中心攪起，等更多人見證下再持續籌款。
